Located only 80 kilometers from Florida of the USA, the Bahamas are a famous and popular tourist destination, with azure skies, perfect beaches and emerald oceans. Christopher Columbus landed on these Islands in 1492, at which point, they were ruled by Western powers, whose colonial architecture and historical sites are found throughout.

This painting manifests some aspects of the Bahamas as a tropical paradise. Colorful coral reefs and abundant sealife attract divers. Upon the pure and quiet surface of the sea are some sailing bouts pushed by the breeze. Under the palm trees in Nassau, capital of Bahamas, some festive parades burst out joyously in music, color and sound. On the upper right hand side, we see some historic sites colored by the sunset.
